Today's Special: Love Keeps Going EP 01 Recap

This is a test trial. I'm not sure whether I'd be disappointed by this one or not so I don't promise on recapping all. I should've said this for Rebound as well... Cause I'm sorta loosing interest for that as well. Let's start with a brief introduction as to what this drama is about. 

      This story (from what I see in the OP & END, Preview for the next episode) is about 4 main people. One named Mei Le who is the main girl. The other is Han Yi Lei which is Han Yi Feng's younger brother. Xiao Jun which is probably Han Yi Lei's ex girlfriend and Guo Xuan Xuan - who has not appeared yet. To clearify who is who and for future reference:

 

1. So the guy in blue at the top is Han Yi Feng, whom I will shorten to YF. 
2. The guy dressed tidy to the right of that other guy is Han Yi Lei which will become YL.
3. The first girl to the left is Xiao Jun which will become XJ.
4. The middle girl is Guo Xuan Xuan Which will become XX.
5. And finally Main girl Zha Mei Le will become ML.

So it should be a bit clearer. Now if I ever blog a recap about them you should know to come here for name references! So let's START! :) The first episode starts with ML going to work. We see her arriving to the office all prepared. She first sees the girl at the front desk and hands her the English homework that girl asked ML to do for her. Then she goes to the people in the
office. She gives each one of them the things they need (ex: Telling them what they could do if something's wrong). She then goes to the main office of the boss. The boss even bows down to her by asking her what he could do since he's so stressed. Since she has a soft voice in this drama she hesitates as to how she's going to tell her boss the "news".

 

 

The thing she wants to tell her boss is that she's quitting. The narrator of the drama also states that there's nothing wrong with ML and everyone loves her yet why would she quit? The narrator then looks into the past bringing you onto a ship of memories. We learn that she use to be a very useless child. She use to watch anime's on TV as her brother brought home awards and such. That very night she overhears her parents arguing about a divorce. Not only was there that, none of the parents wanted ML. They wanted her brother instead. ML got extremely sad and went back to bed singing herself to sleep. We then flash to when she wakes up and everything's gone. She's alone at home as she cries out for her parents but no one answers her. She's desperate as she looks around the house. Everything covered in white sheets. Suddenly a female monk comes in and tells her that her parents had left her into her care. She starts screaming and struggling to get away from the monk.

 

Then... WHABAM! it's all a dream. She gets waken up by her mom who's telling her to wake up. As her mom starts complaining about how much of a lazy and useless daughter she is she rips off the sheets and we can see that ML had wet her bed. Her mother gets angry and tells her at this age no one wets their bed. At that very moment her brother pops up with another certificate and also stating that he got 2 more but didn't bring them. After that incident she worked very hard to become the child that her mother wants.

 

She would pay much attention in class and would clean the house. And when the times has come her mother and her father finally separated. Her brother followed her father. But she didn't get to know this until her mom brought her to the temple to pray. Her first thought was that her mother wanted to bring her to the temple to leave her there.

 

We are then brought to the present where we are now presented with the certificates she has and the jobs she has done. We are even presented with how she met her current boyfriend (YF). First his car broke down and his art kids got hurt.

 

 

She stopped her car and went to help him with the students. She helped the kids fix their legs (because she has a nurse degree). And then she helped him fix his car. And finally she helped him massage his hand until his stomach ache disappeared. A few years or months later (I forget) She was brought over to his house to see his parents.

 

 

He joked around and said that he wanted to open a bakery and being the good girl everyone loves she goes to get her baking certificate to open a bakery for her (future husband). Now to the PRESENT PRESENT (I know confusing) Everyone begs her to stay at work. The boss even clings onto her legs. She tells everyone that she's leaving to open a bakery and that she's really sorry. Then the story turns all the way around to the main guy. We learn that he's a famous song producer or something like that and that he's welcomed onto a show like "America's got talent". But he's super rude and even leaves the stage (it's a live broadcast).

 

That guy is YF's brother YL. YL is coming back home so YF tells ML to welcome him by picking him up at the airport. She sets off and also decorates his entire house. We also learn that she can also have a normal behaviour and feelings as she's looking through the internet for YL's photos.

 

She laughs at him and says that he may be ugly but then slaps herself to the belief that she shouldn't because it's rude and that no one would like her if she was like this. (It's okay to comment to yourself once in a while ML...) She goes to the airport with a welcoming bouquet of flowers and wait for YL to come out the doors.

 

As they head out the doors of the airport, ML spots these old folks having trouble moving their luggage so she runs over to help. She then spots a little girl crying for her mom so she runs over to bring her to the police officers. By the time she goes back to YL he's annoyed and wants to leave immediately.

 

ML complains to her boyfriend the next day. they return home as YF's mom is hitting his little sister. Apparently she got pregnant and her boyfriend left her and now she's lost. Her mom gets super disappointed and wants to kill her but once again the angel that ML is. She tells them that everything will be fine and if no one wants the child she can just say that it's YF and hers. The family is once again calm.

 

(I'm going to skip a bit...) KAY! now we're at the part where she goes home and her brother is kneeling before her. But she's too angry at YL to even see him. She enters her room and sees her bank stuff outside on her table. She realizes that someone has taken her money that will be used to open the bakery and cries out to her mom. Her brother owes people money and they needed the money. She is very disappointed and rushes to tell her husband the next day.

 

They go to see YL for help. She asks if he can lend them some money and she'll make it back really quickly with the shop. He refuses and even says that the shop is a waste of effort. He tells her to just give up. but she doesn't she stalks him and emails, phones, runs into him everywhere with proposal plans just so he could loan her some money. She then thinks of another way which is participating in contests.

 

 

We are then flashed into a different place. There's this rich guy that I did not look up about but yeah he's rich and evil. But cares for his sister who looks EXACTLY like ML. But his sister always gets to know friends that he disapproves because they are not rich and he says that they're here to just cheat on her. he basically owns the family.

 

 

We are then flashed back to ML who stays up all night to make the perfect breads. She makes tons that look like bread but to her do not taste as well as others make it. She wants to be outstanding but it's just average. She then gets the idea that fresh water from the wells would make the bread much better and rushes to the country side.

 

 

She calls her fiancee immediately who says that he can't make it but she doesn't mind. YF gets worried that she might hurt herself and calls YL to help her. He ignores it at first because he believes that she'd be fine but his imagination runs wild and he rushes out to help her. At the well she slips in and ends up being trapped inside the well. She waits for her fiancee who doesn't appear but instead YL does.

 

 

 

There he helps her out and helps her with gathering the water. Her fiancee calls to assure that she's okay and she is. She then states that YL is driving her home and that all is fine. Before YL can decline she hangs up and smiles at him. They return to the shop and he's exhausted and drops onto the bottles of water and that's where the episode ends.
