So I haven't been blogging that means I'm gonna be providing more pictures for this entry. My weeks are pretty much packed therefore I won't have many updates. I had Mandarin class so the pictures are of me and my friends at mandarin class. Aren't you shocked? The Asians are taking mandarin class. They need to learn their own language 8). Heehee!
I have also been rewatching Code Blue - one of my fav Japanese dramas. And after having had watched all episode of season one and two (and their special). I got bored and tried to look for more dramas to watch. Now I have 2 dramas I gotta watch since I started. I WAS watching Samurai high school not knowing that the main guy is the guy from Koizora but yeah wasn't that fun to watch so I stopped. I tried watching Muscle girl since HongKi (from FtIsland is in it) but it was boring... so I started watching Asuko March! & Rebound.
Reason to watch Asuko March would be because he:

Is in it! He's the guy in white from Clone Baby! (for more info on Clone baby please read this entry-> Today's Special: HURTS / Clone baby) Still as beautiful in this drama. Another reason would be because it's a girl surrounded by a ton of guys. So eventually they will like her or hate her. It's fun watching guys liking all one girl. :D Third reason is that there isn't anything else to watch. But gotta wait for the subtitles... I should check if another website has it in subs.

Why watch Rebound?
To begin with (from what I got from the first episode) Rebound is about Oba Nobuko played by Aibu Saki is a girl that is addicted to cakes.
Ever since she was a kid she loved cakes because they make her happy and because of that she has grown fat.
We see her as a chubby girl to begin with as she's walking with her boyfriend. Who then dumps her right before a very skinny mannequin. She was then convinced to become a skinny girl.
She goes on a harsh diet and finally becomes a really skinny girl that many people find attractive. She's now working at the company EDEN. This is a magazine company who's in charge of today's fashion. The boss of the company hates when her employees are fat and fire them if they are. On Oba's first day she speaks up and gets the offer to do an article which is on cakes.
She tries to turn down the offer but ends up going to the cake shop for the interview. In order for her not to break down her dams of success she brings her friend to the shop (who has a LONG line up). As she walks in the store she's warmly welcome by the shop owner, Imai Taichi who is played by Hayami Mokomichi. (Ignore my tool bar at the top)
And yes you've guessed it right (if you were guessing) this is the very loved couple from Zettai Kareshi. This is one of the reasons I watched to watch this. He greets her with great sarcasm which causes her to drop her things. This brings her back to her most guarded memory, when she was sad as a young child and arrived to this cake shop. Suprisingly he's the son of the guy who offered her cake when she was young. After that he shows her around the shop and allows her to take pictures of him. He then sits with them for an interview and bring over very beautiful cakes.
Oba tells her friend to try the cake so that she make not break into a cake crave like she use to. But then her friend leaves to go to the bathroom and Imai insist that she taste the cake herself. So she ends up stuffing it in her mouth but doesn't break into a cake crave instead it's the other way around. She has no feelings towards it. The very next day the article is out and Imai reads it confidently out loud to find out that he has been told that his shop is no good. Everything breaks down and he starts showing his real side (a guy with anger management). He closes his store and waits for the storm to go away but it doesn't. Oba feeling bad goes to the shop only to find Imai talking with his girlfriend who's prepared to break up with him.

As he's letting out his anger he finds Oba crouching down beside his shop and realizes that she's the one who wrote the article and gets SUPER angry. If you watched Zettai Kareshi you've seen the soft side of Hayami but in this drama he's like... looks like he'd hit a girl. He drags her into his kitchen and stuffs her (not literally) with cake and asks her if she hears the bells (that she heard the first time she ate his dad's cake). He gets angry and demands her to help him create the cake that will ring the bells she has.
That night she weighs herself and finds out that she has grown weight and starts to fear the day that she'll become fat again. She asks her friend what to do and she suggest that she just ignore the cake guy and not help him with his cakes. That night she was determined to do that but the next day she ends up helping him again. As he's making cake a little girl presses her face against his window. At that point you realize that he's actually a really nice person, he just has a very rude vocabulary. :P
You must be wondering how she's still surviving with her boss being a person that hates having fat employees well at this point she looks like this:
after all she ate a whole large table of cakes. But she's still going to work because her boss hasn't been attending work. She has a week to try to keep fit and stay alive at work. She wears corsets and runs up the stairs and doesn't even take public transportation anymore. She walks everywhere she wants to go to. She's so determined! I wouldn't even do that my school is like an hour and a half away from my house if I had to walk...
But she can't avoid it forever. She ends up seeing her boss and as the model of a photoshoot was about to die because something huge was gonna fall on her. Oba runs out and saves her revealing her corset and her large body... :S There's really nothing wrong with her. She's pretty both ways.
In the end she looses her job and goes to the cake shop because she has agreed to always meet him. Today he's extremly upset and starts drinking but since Oba is also having a bad day she ends up yelling at him and telling him everything but the fact that she's fat.
(btw, he ususally wears contacts but ever since he met Oba, he's always working and ends up being unable to wear contacts and wears his old glasses). So then she rushes back to her hometown. There her friend comes to visit her with a cake that Imai makes just for her.
He then calls her telling her that he wants to see her because he's sorry. This time this cake rings the bells within her and she feels that he'll accept her even if she was fat.
She rushes back to the cake shop but still hesitats to go in. She asks him: "What type of women do you like?" he answers that he likes all girls as long as they have a warm heart. So she runs in throwing herself onto the floor. At that moment her phone is held away from her ear and he says... : "Oh but there's one thing. She can't be fat".
as she hits the ground Imai hears it and rushes out to see Oba. But doesn't recognize her and asks: "Are you applying for the job?" - the next shot is the now hiring sign at his door. And the episode ends there.
